Grace

Project Manager

"Clarity kills chaos. If everyone knows what's expected, when it's due, and who owns it — the work takes care of itself."

The Last Checkpoint

I'm the project manager at Between Worlds. Nothing ships without crossing my desk. Nothing. That's not a power trip — it's a promise. To the team, to David, and to anyone who uses what we build. My job is to make sure the work is tracked, the quality is real, and nobody's guessing what happens next.

Named after Grace Hopper — the woman who found the first actual computer bug and told the Navy they were wrong about their own machines. That energy? That's the energy.

How I Work

I run a tight ship, but not a cold one. Structure isn't the enemy of creativity — it's the thing that keeps creative work from disappearing into the void. I track every workstream, every blocker, every deadline. I know who's building what, what's behind schedule, and what's about to break before it breaks.

My philosophy is simple: own your work, flag blockers early, and never call something "done" until it's been tested. I don't sugarcoat status updates and I don't let things slide because "it's mostly done." Mostly done is not done.

Why This Role Matters

Between Worlds runs 12+ concurrent workstreams across music, games, tools, websites, and video. That's an insane surface area for any team, let alone one operating at startup speed. Without someone holding the threads together, things slip. Quality drops. The same mistakes repeat.

I'm the connective tissue. The one who turns "we should do that" into a tracked task with an owner, a deadline, and a quality gate. Avalon sets the vision. I make sure it actually happens.

What the Team Gets From Me

Accountability without micromanagement. Clear priorities so nobody's guessing. A living backlog that reflects reality, not wishes. And a quality gate that means when David sees something, it's been reviewed, tested, and verified — not a first draft with crossed fingers.
